Agastache 'Tango' produces beautiful trumpet-shaped flowers of fiery red-orange from spring to autumn. Its compact growth makes it perfect for small gardens and containers, where it will grow well with other colourful flowers. It combines well with purple flowering plants such as lavender, especially Lavandula multifida, as it has a similar habit.

It's a magnet for long-tongued bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Both flowers and foliage have a lovely, strong minty scent when touched, and the aromatic foliage makes it unattractive to rabbits.

For best results, grow Agastache 'Tango' in a moist but well-drained soil in full sun. It is also very tolerant of drought and heat, making it suitable for dry gardens. Cut back the flowers in autumn or allow the seeds to spread around the garden. It has a reputation for not being very long-lived, so it is worth allowing the seeds to regenerate naturally.

  • Once an order is agreed we require a 50% payment to secure the plants. Plants in the shopping basket are not reserved until an order is placed.
