Euphorbia lambii
Truffula tree and tree euphorbia. This fast-growing small tree has thin, short trunks with leafless lower branches. The leaves are yellow-green or bluish-green. Truffula flowers in spring in clusters of green flowers that make a fantastic display. They are best used as specimens, but also look good in the foreground of other large shrubs or as bushy groups in cactus and succulent gardens. Like all Euphorbias, they exude a milky white sap when damaged, which is irritating to the skin, so they should not be in a place where people are likely to touch them.
The plant needs direct sunlight for optimum growth, but will do well in partial shade. E. lambii needs well-drained soil and will not tolerate wet conditions or waterlogged soil, especially in winter. It is not completely hardy and can suffer some damage, but established plants should recover from a few degrees of frost.
This species is native to the Canary Islands (La Gomera).
